How H&M sizes work

We could not load H&M's official size guide, so we do not list numbers here. Please check the official chart on H&M's website for your country. Here is how the system works:

• Bras and bikini tops with cups: sized by band and cup (for example 75B in EU, 34B in US/UK). The number is your underbust; the letter is your cup.
• Bralettes, soft bikini tops and swimsuits: usually letter sizes (XS–XL) or number sizes, based on bust, waist and hips.
• Bikini bottoms and briefs: letter or number sizes, based on waist and hips.
• Regions: EU, UK, US and AU numbers differ. A size 10 in one country is not a size 10 in another. Always pick the size from the chart shown for your region.

What you need to measure: your underbust (snug, level tape), your bust at the fullest point, your natural waist and your hips at the widest point. Write them down in cm and inches and compare them with the product's chart.

Does H&M run small? (fit by product type)

• Padded bikini tops: the cup shape is fixed, so check that your cup size is offered, not just your letter size.
• Triangle bikini tops and bralettes: forgiving and adjustable; if you are between sizes, many shoppers pick the larger one.
• One-piece swimsuits: torso length matters. If you are tall, check reviews for comments about length.
• Underwired bras: band and cup sizing; if the band rides up, try a smaller band with a bigger cup.
• Briefs and bikini bottoms: high-cut and Brazilian cuts show more; size up if you want more coverage.
